When they enter an underground pool of water that leads to the ocean they find themselves bathed in the glow of moonlight from overhead. Įpisodes Series one (2006) Įmma Gilbert ( Claire Holt), Cleo Sertori ( Phoebe Tonkin) and Rikki Chadwick ( Cariba Heine) are three teenage girls who become stranded on the mysterious Mako Island. The third series premiered in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2009 while its Australian premiere occurred on. Series one premiered in Australia on 7 July 2006 and series two began there on 28 September 2007. I think the Just Add Water universe has the potential to be very interesting awith great characters and plot lines but it needs the care and thought that went to series like Severance or Firefly. The following is an episode list for the Australian television show H 2O: Just Add Water, which first aired on Network Ten in Australia and has since been broadcast in more than 120 countries worldwide. The problem with the OG series and the Mako sequel in my opinion was that the lore, the mythology wasn’t truly thought out beyond the very basics and it was fluid to serve the plot of the week. I would love to see antagonists and villains of the original series (like the female scientist that found out about them ) to be friends and Allie’s this time. Or not be a threat to them but to the community and their intelligence, personalities and powers to help the community in secret, without necessarily the big bad having any connection with them and the secret. There could be antagonists and villains that both could endanger their secret but also the environment. and discovering that some girls for example found out the Mako lake and the OG girls would try to help the new generation cope with the secret, the powers and responsibilities. Rikki is ocean archeologist, Cleo could be a scientist about sea life, etc and their work and their secret being part of their lives and we could see them navigating that while having families, romantic interests etc. The show can have pre-teen & teen drama AND more adult stuff at the same time. Sorry for the long post but i just got interested and wanted to talk about this lol □Ī season 4 would be great IF they would flesh out the mythology and have the OG mermaids gradually going into the background and being mentors, helpers and exposition. Maybe if they somehow involve the cast and lets say they had kids who are now teenagers discovered they’re mothers secret on their time being mermaids they go to mako to see the moon pool on the full moon and oopps they fell and now they are mermaids□ and a new generation of h2o girls begins and it focuses on these girls doing their teenager antics and how they navigate their daily lives with their secret. Thirdly there is the script and the writing, now im sure we’ve seen season 3 how much of a train wreck that was and Mako mermaids with how much of a flop it was (no offense for the people who liked it) they need to write a great story and lines or otherwise the legacy of the series will go under (no pun intended □). No kid would want to watch a show about old mermaids doing teenage stuff (no offense) u knw. Second there is the matter of storyline, while it might be a good idea to make a season 4 with the old cast, how they can make a season about 20 or 30 something year old mermaids appealing to much younger audiences, this show is for that age demographic. they might be scheduled for the next year or so to do other movies/series. There is the matter of if ALL the cast are willing to come back for this, since you mentioned Bella the actress Indiana Evans has not been seen and no longer acting since 2015 (there aren’t resources to say why and what happened to her) and then we have the other cast like Claire, Pheobe ect. Cariba did express how she wanted this to happen like all of us do but she says it cant happen sadly.
